We are the Frenchbrowns, namely Simon, Kim, Frances and Tom Brown, and we own a mobile home based at Les Charmettes in the Charente Maritime region of France.
We have been visiting Les Charmettes since May 2000, when Frances was 11 months old and Tom wasn't even thought of. We have visited every year and in the autumn of 2005 we took the plunge and bought our own mobile home.
We own an Atlas Moonstone, 8 birth mobile home and have a 6 metre terrace attached to one side, which offers a massive outside room.
There are three bedrooms, one double, one twin and a bunk room. There is a kitchen and a living/dining room.
Les Charmettes is situated on the South West Coast of France, about 50 miles south of La Rochelle and 70 miles north of Bordeaux. The site is owned by Siblu, which used to be part of the Haven group.
The site is fully equipped for families and its entertainment complex comprises of 5 swimming pools, a ballroom, a pub and a restaurent. There are 3 free clubs for children, based on their ages, and during the summer there is specialist coaching in football, archery, fencing and swimming.
